Description : Print by Jax Hnat, based on the painting by Robert Auer 1914. This piece already felt pretty gay, but I wanted to amp that up. It's a portrait of the goddess Hygeia holding her bowl and snake, which symbolize healing, in one hand, and a person she's brought back from the brink of death in the other. I used a pair of original characters for this piece, and depicted the act of healing the person you love the most. Instead of Hygeia making eye contact with the viewer, she is instead kissing her patient, relieved to have saved her.
