Framed Confession of Love

Description : Framed print by Umaimah, based on the painting by Jean-Honoré Fragonard 1771. The piece I referenced is 'The Confession of Love' where a woman is reading through what looks like a huge pile of letters from her lover, I maintain the same plot in my version, but I make my characters black and for the girl in the dress she also has dramatic gold African-inspired jewelry on her. Her lover is also no longer a man but a woman. So the subjects are not longer white and straight, but black African and lesbians- this is important because these are subjects we never saw in this era of art.
