Framed Pastoral

Description : Print by Julie Dillon, based on the painting by Rupert Bunny 1893. The original painting has such a lovely soft feel and rendering style, but the figures seemed a little disinterested in each other to me. I wanted to make it even softer and more tender, with everyone in the scene a little more engaged and paying more attention to each other while still being calm and peaceful. I made the central couple middle-aged and softer bodied, as it makes me happy seeing older queer couples depicted in art.
