Frequently Asked Questions

How can I attend Summer Story Fest?

SSF is a sprawling block party throughout Honeyed Words Bookstore, New New Crusher Court, Atomic Garage's parking lot, and While on Earth which can be accessed from Sandy Blvd, Hoyt Street, and Lawrence Ave.

Join us on June 21st and 22nd from 12-5pm - no tickets or reservations needed!

Is Summer Story Fest free to attend?

Yes! The weekend of Summer Story Fest is fully free to attend, including drop-in workshops. Ticketed events leading up to SSF will have a fee to participate.

What does accessibility look like at SSF?

Summer Story Fest is located primarily in the New New Crusher Courtyard at 2500 NE Sandy Blvd and can be entered from Sandy Blvd and Hoyt St. Our expanded area in Atomic Garage's parking lot and While on Earth are accessible from Hoyt St and Lawrence Ave.

There's bike parking inside the Sandy Blvd courtyard entrance, car parking throughout the surrounding blocks, and we're near Trimet bus stops for the 12 and 19 lines.

The entire festival, including New New Crusher Courtyard, Honeyed Words, Sonny's House, While on Earth, Atomic Garage's parking lot, and Outlet, are on ground level pavement or gravel. There is one step leading to Outlet's front door which can also be navigated to via a flat gravel path.

The two onsite bathrooms are all gender neutral and ADA accessible, though the doors do not have automatic switches.

Masks will be required in all indoor spaces and recommended while outside. While we will have masks available, our supplies are limited so we request that you bring your own from home!
