From the Suburban Swamp

As a kid growing up around Houston, I did everything I could to find little pockets of nature in the suburbs - that usually meant wading around in the creeks behind levees, catching tadpoles, minnows, and crawfish. This painting is a tribute to all the critters that helped me become the nature lover I am today. (I don't pick them up anymore.) Watercolor, 8x12", Kendra Phillips.
